Herwin Buccat is a self-taught artist from Bolinao, Pangasinan. He startedparticipating in art competitions in which he became a semi finalist in the MetrobankArt Competition and a two-time Honorable Mention awardee in the GSIS ArtCompetition.
He expanded his understanding when he landed in Tam-awan Artist Village inBaguio City, inspiring artists like John Frank Sabado. He takes inspiration from thebeautiful reserves of his town, Bolinao, especially the Balingasay River wherebeautiful mangroves are located, this shows in his style and trademark roots
